JAMB Figures Reveal Leading States in Law Admissions JAMB statistics have shown that admission into law in Nigerian universities between 2011 and 2015 were dominated by candidates from Imo, Anambra and Delta states. These three states were among the leading states with the highest number of Law admission for the five years. In 2011 Imo had 739 students admitted to study Law into various universities, Anambra followed with 679 and Enugu was third with 593. Benue came fourth with 558 and Ogun was fifth with 488 students. In 2012, Imo emerged first with 551 students, Delta followed with 476 and Anambra came third with 469, Rivers came fourth with 447. That year, Abia placed fifth with 355 students admitted into Law. In 2013, positions changed significantly, with Delta taking the first position with 683 students. Imo dropped to second with 630, while Rivers came third with 569. Anambra was fourth with 490 and Edo , with 463, took fifth. Anambra jumped to first position 2014

FUNAI Prepares to Hold Her First Ever SUG Election One of the 11 Universities established by the former President Goodluck Jonathan's administration,  Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo , Ebonyi state, is about to hold her first ever  SUG Election . This has brought about tension in the school, however, the institution's electoral committee is trying everything in her power to make sure the election turns out to be a peaceful and a successful one. The aspirants have been addressed to shun any form of violence. Several measures have been put in place by the Management of the institution to record a successful SUG Election.

YABATECH Matriculates 14,912 Students for 2017/2018 Session The Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech), Lagos State, on Thursday matriculated a total of 14,912 students comprising National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students admitted in the 2017/2018 academic session. According to the Rector, Mr Obafemi Omokungbe, the figure equally comnprised full-time and part-time students. He said 23.704 candidates applied for admission into the college’s ND (Full Time) but only 3,666 were offered admission. The rector also said 3,871 candidates were given admission into the college’s HND (Full-Time) programme, adding that Yabatech offerred admission to a total of 7,375 candidates for both ND/HND (Part-Time) programmes. He advised the students to shun all forms of anti social behaviour and activities such as cultism, drug abuse, examination malpractice, sexual misbehaviour and other unruly behaviour.
